Tomorrow morning (June 25th) I will be hosting a ‘Twitter for Business‘ Breakfast Workshop in The Landmark Hotel, Carrick on Shannon from 8am to 10am.

21 People have registered so far and there are a few places left. Click here to register.

There is such a thing as bad publicity

I just found this article (via Damien Mulley) by O’Leary Analytics about Hunky Dory’s recent advertising campaign.

Of particular interest under Sentiment is

“Sentiment is calculated using an algorithm to look for positive or negative tone and in this sample, the results have been manually cross referenced for accuracy. Of the 82 mentions where sentiment is expressed, 48 are negative while 34 are positive.”

So whilst there was plenty of media coverage regarding the campaign, it was primarily bad publicity.

You can now update your LinkedIn status from Twitter and vice versa.

Twitter & LinkedIn

Just click in the Twitter logo and enter your Twitter username and password and your all set. You also have the option to choose whether or not you want your ‘tweets’ to appear on LinkedIn i.e. include #in if you want them to appear on LinkedIn.

Of course IGOpeople have been doing this for quite some time. You can publish from IGOpeople to Twitter and import your Twitter feed to IGOpeople.

You can also import your other RSS feeds into IGOpeople e.g. your blog.

IGOpeople.com import RSS

Of course you can also use Ping.fm to update all your profiles from one place (with the exception of IGOpeople but I’ve already outlined how it is linked to the others anyway)
