<p>In the past number of weeks I have taken up a new interest in <a href="http://www.speedyreg.co.uk"> personalised number plates</a>. As a result, I was alerted (via <a href="http://www.google.com/reader/view/feed/http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.twitter.com%2Fsearch.atom%3Fq%3D%2522number%2Bplates%2522">Twitter Search</a>) to  this recent article in The Irish Independent entitled &#8220;Cyclists saddled  with number plates&#8221;.</p>
<p>In a quote from the article it states that the number plates are made of a reflective material. In the image above, the plate appears just above an existing reflector. Surely making hi-vis vests mandatory for cyclists would be  a better idea.</p>
