In the past number of weeks I have taken up a new interest in personalised number plates. As a result, I was alerted (via Twitter Search) to this recent article in The Irish Independent entitled “Cyclists saddled with number plates”.

In a quote from the article it states that the number plates are made of a reflective material. In the image above, the plate appears just above an existing reflector. Surely making hi-vis vests mandatory for cyclists would be  a better idea.
