Our dear friend Barbara

From my friend aMO.

Dear Friends,

As you may know my younger sister Barbara suddenly passed away last November. Cause of death was “Sudden unexpected death with a history of epilepsy” also known as SUDEP. She went to sleep and never woke up. This is very rare and little research has been done on it. Im flying to Ireland today to join the rest of my family and friends to do a 5 hike challenge in 3 days to raise funds for Brainwave (Epilepsy Ireland). It was her plan to do this challenge this summer for brainwave, so we are doing it in her place.

A link to my online donation page is below, any donation you make I am sure she would have really appreciated it. Also be aware that donations on the site are made in Euros (1euro= $1.60). Please forward this to anyone you think might want to donate.

Kind regards
John Doyle (aMO)

I love when a labour of love pays off.

And not necessarily from a financial perspective but it does help. In this case I am talking about HOME - THE MOVIE. Stories like this one inspire me to continue my current mission in life. It too started as a labour of love but it beginning to turn into something more.

Freez - So cool.

Staff do this in Connolly station all the time.

No new arrival yet.

Nothing to report yet. Waiting patiently for s.he to arrive.

Coal Miner to Code Miner

As I am from Arigna, my dad was a coal miner. It’s what they did. One of the mines is now a wonderful museum. I often think about the contrast between what he used to do and what I do.

He passed away on April 15th 2000 - Lung Cancer. The guy in the photo is Eugene, one of Dad’s close friends. Some more photos.
