Carmel & I are expecting our first child. Tomorrow is the official due date. Here’s hoping all goes well. (s.he may wait until next week. I was hoping s.he would join us on Monday last, as it was my birthday).

Shall I compare thee to a fluffy badge….

Now I won’t even suggest that my fluffy badge is as important as my unborn child but here are a few things I hope will be similar.

1. Arrive this week, safe and well, white, clean & shiny
2. The cause of plenty of excitement on and offline
3. Have his/her photo put up on Flickr

So I opened up a little white envelope yesterday and this happened. Thanks Damien. I will wear it on the night. Bubble wrap was great too.

This is not my first blog. But then again, my first blog is not really a blog. I set this one up (the one you are reading now) out of shear admiration for other bloggers who I will mention in due time throughout various posts I hope to write. Some of these names you will know and some you may not. Either way, they deserve a mention. Of course, like all blogs, I will keep a blogroll type list of blogs I like but the evangelists will be mentioned on a regular basis, mainly because they find some interesting stuff and it’s just easier if I just refer you directly to there blog. Kinda like Damien Mulley’s fluffy links. (See I could not even write my first post without mentioning his name). Of course, I won’t call it fluffy links. I hope there is a badge at home for me.
