Catching up

So Jack arrived safe and well and so far everything has been excellent. I am on a high and when people say he looks like me, well, I just get higher.
I’m learning as I go and Carmel is a natural mother. Mother’s instinct is amazing.
Innovation - It’s the future don’t ya know.
Update.
This post is a combination of today and yesterday.
Anyway, so I am back in the office today. Things are crazy with the innovate project. But like my night job, I love it.
Yesterday
While eating and waiting to bring Jack and Carmel home, I’m reading the Innovation supplement that came with the Irish Times on Monday. Innovation has been my job for the last 3 years and I am addicted. Actually, I have to stop this post because it will be hard to read without some links. More soon.

I heard it on the grapevine
Get your message to music lovers FROM YOUR MOBILE.
We have just launched a new feature called ‘Grapevine’.
To leave your message on the Grapevine, just text music followed by a space followed by your message to 57501. Cost €1. Everything you put after the space will appear on the grapevine.
e.g. music to pre-order luan parles new single ghost, text music ghost to 57501 and be in with a chance to win an ipod shuffle.
The message will appear as per image above.
For artists:
Use grapevine to make announcements WITHOUT THE NEED TO BE ONLINE
- upcoming gig news
- upcoming releases incl. your text code e.g. buy [single] by texting music [code] to 57501, rgds, [artist name]
- upcoming radio/tv appearances or awards
Music lovers can also leave messages e.g. gig/music reviews, best wishes to favorite artists, or call outs “ANYBODY GOING TO SEE…., EMAIL ME AT gig_lover@gmail.com”
Slapped arse…
My close friend Amo was heading back to NYC a few weeks back and text me from the airport. He said he heard a girl describe her tan as she was just back from holiday.
“I look like a slapped arse”
Isn’t there an Irish website with stuff people over heard on it. Can’t think of it - I must ask Uncle Google.
UPDATE - I just found Feck Off.net
Can’t switch off.
I had some reiki last week. This is only the second time I have had it. To be honest, the first time was way better. Anyway, the lady who performed the treatment said my heart was full of love (ahh bless). However, she said my head was overloaded with extra baggage and she said I must find it very hard to switch off. I told her up straight that I can’t, even when i try :). The first lady (not thee first lady) who treated me said the same thing too.
So, my question is, how do you switch off and what do you do for stress relief? I probably work 70-80 hours a week between my day job and my day & night job, (you’re probably saying, sure don’t we all, especially the guys in my blogroll, no offense to those I still have to add).
I know my new born will help and my day job finishes in April so hopefully I can do this for the rest of my days.
(I wonder if I use brackets too much)
Where are the titles???
We use Esendex to sell music via reverse billing SMS. So I have decided to try their new BlogIt service.
What they say:
BlogIt is a new, free service mobile blogging service available to all new and existing Esendex users. Whether you are a personal blogger or professional journalist, BlogIt is the perfect tool for updating your blog when you are on the move - just submit your posts by SMS message.
What I say:
The titles of my posts do not appear as outlined. Also this message appears on posts sent from my mobile - “Mobile post from the Esendex BlogIt service.”
It is handy and if they get titles working I will use it.
